Dollar Tree Treasures #37

Welcome to Dollar Tree Treasures #37! Dollar Tree stores are a great go-to spot for many DIY home decor enthusiasts on a budget.

Stick around while I share my Dollar Tree insider knowledge with you as I find new and noteworthy Dollar Tree items that you, too, can use to beautify your home.

This post contains affiliate links. A purchase of any one of these items helps to support this blog and its creative efforts at no cost to you. To read more, please see my disclosure page.

I know not all Dollar Tree stores carry the same merchandise at the same time. Even so, it's my hope that what you read about here in my Dollar Tree Treasures posts will inspire you to keep an eye out for similar items that you can use in your own home or as part of your own DIY decor projects.

two gold bow hair clips

The first Dollar Tree treasure I want to share is this set of gold bow barrettes. I've long been a proponent of finding hair accessories at Dollar Tree, although this is the first one I've shared here.

three sets of gold bow barrettes

And of course, I bought more than one set since I immediately had an idea for an alternative use for them.

I love the color since they look more like real gold, versus a cheap imitation. The photos don't do it justice. Look for an upcoming post where I share how I'm using them! Do you have any guesses?

I've said again and again that I don't decorate for Easter anymore like I used to when the kids were little, but a nod to the holiday is always welcome. So I just had to pick up these cuties at Dollar Tree!

They could be part of an Easter tablescape like this one I prepared for an Easter brunch last year.

Or they can be displayed as part of an Easter vignette. I displayed them with other figural Easter porcelain pieces like the asparagus in a basket (it's actually two pieces -- it's also a salt and pepper shaker!) as well as a lidded bowl that resembles squash or lettuce.

Dollar Tree b-Pure hand sanitizer

The third Dollar Tree treasure I want to share with you is this adorable Special Edition "b-pure" hand sanitizer mist. Dollar Tree's version of this mist is a dupe of a hand sanitizer called Touchland Hand Sanitizer Mist. I'd always wanted to buy Touchland's version, but I refused due to the high cost.

While Touchland comes in more scents, and claims to have moisturizing ingredients along with the sanitizing alcohol, it's pretty much the same thing - same adorable packaging, silicone key chain clip cases offered, and basically the same size (Touchland 1 oz.; Dollar Tree 1.15 oz.).

(My thought is that if you regularly use hand lotion -- which I do -- you don't necessarily need moisturizers in a hand sanitizer anyway.)

Brazilian caramel scented b-Pure hand sanitizer

DOLLAR TREE b-pure SANITIZING SPRAY RECAP

Three Scents at my local store:

Brazilian Caramel -- LOVE IT! Lotus Blossom -- NICE! Jasmine Dragon Fruit -- LOVELY! (Online Dollar Tree also sells cucumber scent as well as watermelon.)

COST: $1.25 each

The silicone cases with clips are just as adorable, and come in very handy. I hang mine on the outside of my purse. They come in a few different colors, including peach and pink.

COST: $1.25 each

WRAP UP OF RETAIL PRICES For Touchland  Hand Sanitizer Mist:

  •  Sephora: $10-$16
  • Target: $5-10
  • Amazon: one for $16, three for $30
  • Ulta Beauty $10-$16
  • Costco $30 for 4 pack

TOTAL SPENT BY ME:

$5 total for three misters and one silicone case. I'd call that money well spent.

NOTE: I'm told that "Special Edition" at Dollar Tree means once they're gone, they're gone. So if you want some for yourself go now!

Lastly, I recently learned that Wal-Mart also carries their own Touchland dupes for $3.00!

So if your Dollar Tree doesn't have any, you can check out your local Wal-mart (or the links below)! (I know that's where I'll get mine when my local Dollar Tree runs out.)

  2. Dollar Tree really can be a hidden treasure for home décor and little seasonal touches. The Easter pieces you shared are especially charming, and the sanitizer mist idea with the clip case is super practical too.
