Last Minute Easter Centerpiece

There's still time! In typical fashion I've created a last minute Easter centerpiece that's inexpensive and easy to throw together. (Okay, super last minute.) You probably already have everything you need lying around the house. If not, there's always the Dollar Store. And if that doesn't help, I've provided suggestions and links to some items I think you could use to make this project with more of a spring and/or seasonal appeal rather than just for Easter. Are you ready?

This post contains affiliate links. A purchase of any of these items helps to support this blog and its creative efforts at no cost to you. To read more, please see my disclosure page.

A few weeks ago I saw a Hearth & Hand Easter centerpiece display in, of all places, Target's produce section (I know, weird, right?) and it inspired me. While I don't have the actual dinnerware, I knew I had all the elements to create the centerpiece. It was just a matter of pulling it all together. I don't know why I didn't take a picture of it. Probably because it's so dang simple to make that I knew I'd remember it!

I started out with my faux vintage dough bowl. I've used it so many times in so many different ways to decorate for various holidays. I've filled it with pine cones, Christmas ornaments, succulents and even faux snow with candles as a rustic winter centerpiece.

I've always loved using moss-covered "rocks" in my natural decor displays. That's why I was so excited to see them used in the Target centerpiece as well.

Add to that some glitter Easter eggs and a few air plants and voila, you're done!

I love using the dough bowl in my French farmhouse living room. I think the natural mix of the wood bowl and the green moss rocks is perfect for the mainly white background. It helps to soften the look so as not to be too stark looking. The best thing is that after Easter I can just pull the eggs out and I've got a pretty spring centerpiece!

I told you it was easy. I got the eggs and moss rocks at the Dollar Store, and the air plants at Target. I already had it all on hand. And that was that.

Since Easter is only a few days away I'm hoping I got your creative juices flowing as to what other decorative items you can place in the dough bowl besides eggs. Maybe some faux birds' nests, or loose moss with spring flowers tucked inside. Maybe some dried hydrangea blooms and a couple of battery-operated candles. Oh, and of course, lemons! I love using lemons as decorative elements around my home. So bright and fresh looking, such a pretty pop of color to brighten any room. And last but not least, it never hurts to add a few battery-operated fairy lights. They're another one of my latest obsessions and I've been known to place them everywhere.
