Vintage Christmas

December 9, 2010

Well, I finally managed to do some decorating ~ not totally done yet, but done enough to share a few vintage-y Christmas things with you.  Anyone remember these?

These were my family's ornaments, very cherished and placed on our tree every year.

Some are from my husband's family, equally cherished.

Some of his family's ornaments are displayed on our mantel.  Perfect.

I have a confession to make, I'm a Christmas pillow-a-holic....

And I love the simple nostalgia evoked by this Christmas "box."

Here are three vintage-y boxes that double as ornaments.  I've chosen to display them this year on a sideboard in the kitchen eating area.

And may all your Christmas dreams come true...............

Stay warm and well.

Thanks for inviting me on your Vintage Christmas journey... I too have similar Vintage ornaments that are cherished and have been handed down for generations, some of my favs are from Europe and belonged to my Great-Grandparents and are now 100+ years old. This year I decided to go with some of them on the Tree since the Cat and Grandkids are now old enough that there won't be any manhandling of such old and delicate lovelies! *smiles*
