Red and White Toile Charm Necklace

February 18, 2011

As anyone who reads my blog knows, I've had toile (pronounced "twall") on the brain lately.  So much so that I even incorporated some toile fabric into one of my vintage treasures.

Can you see the fair maid?  She and so many like her can be seen in toile today just like in the toile of times past.  That's one of the things I love about toile ~ it's timeless.

I loved adding vintage rhinestones to the pendant.  Just a little bit unexpected, don't you think?  The companion cascading rhinestones come straight from another vintage necklace.

And don't think the fair maiden is alone.......I added a companion on the other side of the pendant just for her.  Oh, and more of those vintage rhinestones, of course.

Isn't he sweet?  I wish you could see the detail, he's playing the flute without a care in the world.

Hope you'll all join me for my
right here on
 March 2nd
Grab a button and spread the word!
Who knows what else I'll manage to do with toile by then?

Have a wonderful weekend.

I'll be linking up here:

Very pretty - You did good!! I cut a toile picture out of a piece of scrapbook paper to use on the opposite side of lace and decided I did not like the picture. Another one of those projects I am over thinking, so it is still not finished. :D
Enjoy your weekend.

Looks to me like you are not afraid to " use the good stuff"! Those rhinestones are perfect for this piece.
