Vintage Charm Party #85 and May Feature of the Month

June 1, 2017

Thanks to all who linked up last week. And if you're new here, welcome! We appreciate each and every one of you who continue to come back and party with us. We're in constant awe of your creativity and talent. And once again we can't wait to see what vintage goodies, finds and projects you all have to share with us today.

But first, let's find out what blog post was chosen as May's Feature of the Month.

May Feature of the Month

Congratulations Goes to....

Penny of Penny's Vintage Home!

Our friend Penny, from Penny's Vintage Home, has shared many of her beautiful home decor ideas with us here at Vintage Charm over the past year and a half. While they're all incredibly charming, this one by far has garnered the most oohs and aahs. Her Shabby Chic World Globe is just one gorgeous example of all that Penny and her blog represents: romantic, shabby chic, cottage living. So when you stop by to see her lovely globe, stick around and check out some of her other home decor projects as well. You won't be disappointed! Congrats, Penny!

Weekly Features

It's been difficult for us to choose just one feature each. Your vintage finds, vignettes and just plain creativity have been awesome!

Kathleen's Pick

Mary from The Boondocks Blog really hit a home run with her laminate table makeover. As part of her monthly International Bloggers Club Challenge she gave a fabulous facelift to a tired old laminate-topped table. Infused with colors inspired by her current homeland in Greece, the table went from drab to fab in no time! After you check out her Greek Beach Table you can stop by and visit with some of her international blogger friends as well.

Sharon's Pick

Fabiola at Fabi Fabu found a vintage jewelry chest that was in need of a makeover. She started by painting it a lovely shade of blue. The window on the door is stained glass, so to give the window a vintage look she painted the inside of it with gold paint and distressed it. She then distressed the whole piece with gold paint to coordinate with the stained glass window door. The result is incredible. Hop over to Fabi Fabu to see this Little Jewelry Box #1 Makeover and two more that she recently completed.

Cecilia's Pick

AnnMarie from Musings of a Vintage Junkie has gone Crazy For Succulents and you will, too, when you see the whimsical projects around her home and garden! The chicken feeder planter is my favorite, but you won;t want to miss her darling wreath, so be sure to pop over to see her creative ideas!

Diana's Pick

I've been loving these farmhouse style trays for quite a while now and seeing this one from Diana at Dreams Factory put a big smile on my face. Everything about it is just perfection -- those wonderful farmhouse handles and the French graphic on the white background -- ooh la la. In her tutorial, available over at The Graphics Fairy, Diana gives all the details necessary to create a French Farmhouse Tray of your very own.

1. Content: Submit up to three posts that involve vintage finds, crafts, DIYs and other vintage subject matter. No shops or direct advertising, please.

2. Reminder: No recipe links, please.

3. Link-back: We'd love it if you'd include the Vintage Charm button or a text link back to the party in your linked post.

4. Visitation: Please visit other blog posts -- after all that's what a link-up is all about. When pinning please go to the source of the photo to pin it so the originator of the post gets the credit.

7. Prizes: Keep in mind that each month we will select one of the month's featured posts to be featured on all four hostesses' blogs. At the end of the year one of the twelve monthly features will be selected as the Grand Prize Feature of the Year. Prize TBA.

8. Permission: By linking up to Vintage Charm you assert that the photographs are yours (or you have permission to use them) and you give your hostesses permission to feature them on social media or a blog party with a link back to your blog. You will likewise assert that the content of the post is your own.

Kathleen thanks for hosting this great party and for featuring my blue table. That table was the start of everything and it made me decide to redo the whole room. I hope you have a great rest of the week.
