boxwood wreath vintage window pane chippy weathervane

Welcome, friends, to another fun-filled Thrill of the Hunt post where I share my latest thrifty (and mostly) vintage finds with you. I'm excited to get started so here goes!

sheep weathervane blue base chippy pig mantel decor

I fell in love with this the moment I saw it  Can you say farmhouse? Sheep make for  amazing farmhouse decor and I was thrilled to find this tabletop weather vane at my last pop up estate sale at The Little Store.

For $ 3.00 I knew I couldn't go wrong. They also had one with a rooster on it, but I preferred the sheep. I also knew that I didn't need two galvanized farmhouse tabletop weather vanes. So the sheep it was.

Right now it's sitting on my white living room fireplace mantel, but I think it would also look great on our DIY dining room farmhouse shelves.

The next find is not vintage, but I love it just the same. I'm a huge fan of white dishware, especially ironstone. Any time I come across cheap white dinnerware, vintage or not, I have to pause and take a look. This time I was glad I did.

white butter dish dome porcelain

It's a new THL Classic French Pineapple Quilted Butter Dish. I found one currently on ebay, asking price $25.99. I paid 99 cents at Goodwill. Yes, that was definitely a win.

Just look at the pattern on it. And the pretty brass plate that says: "Butter." Lord knows we love our butter in this house. So this butter dish will definitely be put to good use.

glass Evenflo pitcher

Last but not least is what I thought was essentially a large measuring cup. I don't know about you but I use a ton of measuring tools throughout the day while cooking and baking. I was just happy to find a piece that actually held 4 liquid cups, which to me was unusual. Normally we have a one cup and a two cup, but not a four cup.

Ironically, having had three children, one might think that I would know what this was by the name written on the side: Evenflo. Evenflo is the name of a company that manufactures all things baby -- from bottles to high chairs to strollers.

And this "measuring cup" is actually a vintage baby formula pitcher! You could make and store your baby formula all in one container. I believe it's from the 1950's or 1960's. The cheapest I've seen it selling for is $19.99.

Here's the actual measurements on the side. I love the fact that it's such a unique vintage item, and that it has many uses. Not only can it be used for measuring liquids, it can also be used as a vase! Or even as a small pitcher for when you don't want to make that 2-quart pitcher of iced tea. Evenflo measuring pitcher is SOLD.

Well, that's it for today, friends!

I loved your finds. I would have gotten both weathervanes caz they were such a bargain. Loved the Evenflo cup. You're so right about 4 cup measuring cups. I finally found a Pyrex one and it is so handy-I love it for a double batch of Jello; then I have a spout to pour it into bowls or custard cups! Glad you are feeling good enough to be on the hunt already!
