I recently completed a DIY Chinoiserie Easter Egg project, so I thought I'd highlight them here while I share with you 5 unique ways to display Easter eggs.

Easter Egg Display Idea #1: Porcelain Basket

Who says an Easter basket has to be woven? The very first place I thought of putting my chinoiserie Easter eggs was in this barn sale porcelain chinoiserie "basket." While you might not normally see this pottery piece as a "basket" per se, sometimes it pays to think outside the box.

I just threw in a little reindeer moss and added the eggs on top.

I was thrilled with how they looked in this "basket"!

Lastly, I added some orange jute-covered carrots and a Fresh Carrots Cottontail Farms cutting board sign for an all-out Easter decor effect.

Easter Egg Display Idea #2: Moss-Covered Grapevine Basket

Another way to display them is in this easy-to-make DIY Mossy Easter Basket. I created it as a Pottery Barn knock-off six years ago.

Mixing the chinoiserie eggs with pastel-colored eggs makes for a super pretty, romantic-looking Easter basket. And it's amazing what adding a little reindeer moss to an otherwise ho-hum basket can do.

Both rustic and elegant at the same time.

I love how they look on my master bedroom mantel, along with a gilded French mirror and pink peonies

Easter Egg Display Idea #3: Egg Cups

Another unique way to display Easter eggs is -- wait for it -- in egg cups! Seems like a pretty simple idea, yet I don't know why it never occurred to me before this year.

I love my vintage jadeite egg cup, purchased at a flea market over 20 years ago.

I think I picked up these simple white egg cups at World Market a few years ago.

You can also buy some adorable porcelain egg cups online.

Easter Egg Display Idea #4: Tea Cup

One super simple way to display an Easter egg (or multiple small eggs) is in a vintage 1950's Currier and Ives tea cup and saucer set.

Just toss in some reindeer moss and add an egg!

I picked up this collectible tea cup at Goodwill.

You can also fill the tea cup with traditional Easter grass or colorful paper filling before adding your eggs.

Easter Egg Display Idea #5: Brass Candlesticks

Last but not least is an Easter egg display idea I saw on Pinterest. I have to admit that I never would have thought of it myself. But I think it's truly unique and affordable -- I picked up all my brass candlesticks at Goodwill!

Funnily enough I can't help but to think of a marching band standing at attention when I look at all the eggs balanced on candlesticks.

They fit perfectly right in the top opening of the candlesticks.

And this form of display really allows each egg, individually, to be the star of the show.

Each brass candlestick is unique in its own way. There are affordable brass candlesticks online if you can't find any during your thrifting travels.

I had a ball creating these DIY chinoiserie Easter eggs, and even more fun coming up with these unique ways to display them. Do you have a special way of displaying your Easter eggs?
