Gold metal bows are having a moment right now. You can find them on mirrors, candle holders, wall hooks and picture frames. And I love each and every one of them. So to say I was thrilled when I found a vintage Bombay Company brass bow and tassel oval frame trio at Goodwill is an understatement for sure.
I chose to fill the frames with gorgeous public domain vintage hummingbird botanical prints that I'm also sharing with you further down in this post! Stick around for the reveal as well as links to the gorgeous prints you can use to fill your very own thrift store frames.
Is this not the cutest picture frame trio ever? Check out the awesome bows and dangling tassel.
HOW TO TRANSFORM THRIFT STORE FRAME WITH ART PRINTS
After printing out your art prints (in this case there were three of them), remove the glass from your thrift store frame and place it strategically over the chosen print. (Clearly I hadn't cleaned the glass yet!)
Be sure to measure your frame before printing to be sure you print out the correct size image for the size of your frame.
The inside of my oval frames measured approx 3" x 2.75", so I used the 3.5" x 5" size option for my images.
Using a sharp pencil, trace around the glass. Cut out the image and insert it into your thrift store frame.
I did that three times and voila -- a very Frenchy, high-end looking trio of oval brass frames filled with vintage hummingbird prints.
I absolutely love that tassel hanging from the bottom!
