So many home decor goals. So little time. And for most of us -- so little money. But that hasn't ever stopped me from reaching my decorating goals! Knowing how to score upscale home decor for less is my gift.
Welcome to my Savvy Shopper Series #3!

Aren't these rattan urn vases just gorgeous? Alas, the set costs $164. Sadly, and not surprisingly, they're not in my budget. So of course I went on the hunt for a similar, albeit cheaper, version.
And I found them - at my local Wal-Mart!
Part of their "My Texas House" collection, these woven planter urns couldn't be more substantial, and well worth their $24.97 (each) price. Total $49.94 versus $164.
At 17.7" x 14.4" these things were huge!
Each urn comes with a plastic liner to protect the inside of the urn, which is great if you're planning on putting live plants inside them.
There's also a smaller size for $17.97 which I did not buy. The best part about these urns is that they're "indoor/outdoor"! They're actually made of a sturdy resin material wrapped around a wire form.
They look beautiful filled with Boston ferns on the patio.
I just plopped the ferns straight into the urns. No muss, no fuss. I got the live Boston Ferns from Wal-Mart as well - only they were from Wal-Mart online.Their ferns were nicer looking and better priced than the Boston ferns sold in the store.
They arrived fresh and healthy.
Lovely as decor both inside and outside the home, these woven rattan urns can't be beat for durability and beauty. I plan on using them inside the house in the colder months.
I'll probably be filling them with faux blue hydrangeas for the fall, (and maybe white hydrangeas too!) and evergreens for the Christmas season!
Well, that's it for today, friends!
