There's nothing wrong with going all out for Easter decorating, if that's your thing. It's easy to get caught up with bunnies and eggs and baskets. I did it for many years while our kids were growing up. (I have the bins in the basement to prove it.)
However, these days I'm more into a laid back vibe for most holidays. Yes, you can have laid back, understated, even (dare I say) elegant Easter decor.

Some might say this DIY carrot wreath project is just me being lazy. But it's not just me being lazy. It's me realizing that I can work with what I already have to create understated holiday decor. Take this DIY china plate wreath, for example.

I've always thought that blue and white porcelain pieces look even more gorgeous when coupled with orange elements like my Chinoiserie Fall Tray Decor.

And that's where the plate wreath comes into play, along with the carrots. Why not add a few Dollar Tree jute wrapped carrots to the wreath and create another blue and white porcelain + orange decor display for Easter?
Again, there's nothing wrong with going all out for Easter decorating. I've done it myself. It's just that now the kids are grown I look at these "holidays" a bit differently decor-wise. I guess what I'm saying is that less is more, at least around here.
Some bright orange jute carrots, a neutral wooden bunny rabbit and orange-hued tulips all come together to say that Easter (and spring) are on their way.
Once again the blue and white + orange (tulips) create the perfect color mix. The three smaller blue and white porcelain Amsterdam houses were souvenirs from our river cruise in Europe last fall. The larger porcelain house was actually found in a thrift store, along with the chinoiserie bud vase.
