So many home decor goals. So little time. And for most of us -- so little money. But that hasn't ever stopped me from reaching my decorating goals! Knowing how to score upscale home decor for less is my gift. Let me show you how.

Today's Savvy Shopper Series encompasses seasonal decor items I found for less. Like I've always said, finding great deals is a skill you can acquire if you put your mind to it. And if that requires a bit more comparison shopping than usual (thrifting usually, mind you) then so be it! 

With fall just beginning, I thought I'd start with this gorgeous block print (or so I believe) stuffed pumpkin. It sells for $44 on a high-end home decor website. 

Let's compare that plush pumpkin with this one from Wal-Mart. I got it for $12.96. 

And honestly, I like this toile fabric pumpkin better! The pattern is a true toile pattern -- my favorite! The rust color is so fall! And the pattern is beautiful. I'm also in love with the Wal-Mart fluted tabletop basket which does not appear to be available right now. 

But I did find this flower shaped serving basket that would also make a lovely pumpkin holder as well. And all for $11.76.

Amazon also has a lovely pedestal bowl for $16.89 that's definitely worth checking out. 

As for Christmas decor, I'm always on the lookout for vintage brass, as highlighted in my Vintage Brass French Horn Candlesticks and Wreath decor round-up.  

I was inspired after seeing French horns being used as Christmas decor. This one (which is rather small despite how it looks in the picture) sells online for $32.

I thrifted this French horn wreath at a thrift store. Believing it could be improved, I deconstructed it.

And here it is. All I did was add a blush velvet ribbon and hang it from my Anthropologie Primrose Mirror dupe. 

This trumpet candlestick sells online for $29. 

 I snagged three vintage trumpet candlesticks on Etsy for $25.

Moving on from vintage brass candlesticks, these nutcracker figural taper candles sell for $14 each. 

I bought these nutcracker figural candles at Dollar Tree for $1.25 each. Dollar Tree is a great place to find Christmas candles. 

Moving on to Halloween, I fell in love with this trio of potted mossy witch hat topiaries, but their price tag -- $108 for three ($36 each) made buying them a no go.  

Then I saw these mossy hat witch topiaries in Wal-Mart the other day, but restrained myself from buying one despite their cuteness. The price? $22.97 each! Sooooo, I ended up ordering one online and I'll be picking it up at the store tomorrow!

Crazily enough, they're being resold on various websites for a shameful amount of money. I am so happy I was able to get mine at a reasonable price.

Yesterday I was able to link to them, but apparently they're now sold out, so today the link goes to a smaller (and cheaper) witch hat topiary which is absolutely adorable and has a more vintage-inpired look. Love that black bow! But that doesn't mean your local Wal-Mart is sold out of the larger ones, so you can always check there first.  

I will most likely repot mine into a more vintage looking pot and add some contrasting color moss to add a more vintage feel as well as visual interest -- neither of which costs me a thing (I already have the supplies in my stash).  

So, have I convinced you that you don't always have to pay top dollar for the home decor items you really want? I've always believed that with a little patience and a lot of sleuthing (for lack of a better word) --both online and otherwise -- you can achieve most, if not all, of your home decor goals for less.
