It looks as though swan decor popularity is at an all-time high these days. And it's no secret that I'm a swan lover extraordinaire -- so that's good news for me! I recently added two chalkware-like swan planters to my collection and today I'm sharing how I styled them along with some helpful tips for future styling as well.

My most recent obsession involves vintage Rose Medallion porcelain. Once I became hooked on these unique, stunningly designed pieces, I looked into their origins and subsequently put together a brief overview of the history of Rose Medallion porcelain.

Just when I think I'm done with discovering new styles of dishes and serveware to fall in love with, along comes something that sets me off on a new collecting adventure. Currently, it's majolica-inspired asparagus serveware and cabbage ware. 

The latest piece in my collection is a vintage majolica-inspired asparagus pitcher I picked up for a song. But there's more to the story than that -- I didn't totally love it, so I looked into transforming it with a little paint to make it more my style. Little did I know that that would not be necessary!

While out thrifting, sometimes the barn (or garage) out back harbors the best finds. In my case, that couldn't be more true. Shopping with my daughter on a "shop crawl" of local vintage, thrift stores and consignment stores, we came across what's become one of my favorite barn sale finds of all times.
