How to Make a China Plate Wreath

April 26, 2025

The day I learned about plate wreaths was the day I swore I would make one of my own. And make it I did! Today I'm sharing how I made a china plate wreath, along with a step by step tutorial so that you can make one, too.

The beauty of this plate wreath is that it can be transformed with different plates throughout the year, as your decor changes with the seasons. In other words, plate wreaths are both beautiful and versatile at the same time.

Spring Vignette Copycat For Less

April 4, 2025

I recently came across a sweet spring vignette from an online retailer that looked very familiar. And why did it look familiar? Because I own some of the same items in the photo. Of course my items were thrifted, so I got them for less.

As I've previously pointed out in my savvy shopper series, there are alternatives to the uber expensive home decor items we see, day in and day out, online and in stores. We just have to keep our eyes open. And be ready to snatch them up when they cross our path.

How To Make A Scallop Shell Jewelry Dish

March 28, 2025

Jewelry dishes are highly underrated. While I love my diy chinoiserie trinket tray, I also love smaller versions that can hold things like earrings, rings or special statement pieces.

While cleaning out the storage room in our basement, I came across a box of seashells from vacations past and had an epiphany: why not use one of those shells to make a jewelry dish? They certainly bring back fond memories, so I really wanted to find a way to use at least one of them in my every day decor.
