Christmas shadow boxes are nothing new, but they've become hugely popular over the last few years. Welcome, friends! Come right in and look around -- it's my newly renovated, finally-decorated-for-Christmas dining room! Many of you probably remember when we were in the throes of the construction mess -- ugh, right? Well, those days are now just a memory and I'm moving forward with the fun job of holiday decorating. This year my motto has been "less is more" and I'm loving it. Let's look around, shall we?

There's nothing I love more than a thrifty DIY home decor knock-off. And this one has to be one of my all time favorites!  Galvanized metal buckets have been on my list of faves for a long time now. I've been known to dabble in stenciling them as a way to add character and vintage charm. Today I wanted to show you a new take on the idea.

I've always loved creating new snow globes each year around Christmas time. I had intended to show you all the different snow globes I've created as mentioned in my How To Create A Waterless Christmas Snow Globe post, but I decided instead to focus on one of my favorites. And that would be the vintage salt and pepper shaker snow globes.

Okay, I think I need an intervention. Christmas placemats from Target have become somewhat of an obsession for me. I buy them on clearance and then I make pillows out of them. It's as simple as that. Target has come through for me every year, and this year is no exception.

I am obsessed with waterless snow globes. The obsession started last Christmas after I created my DIY Gumball Machine Waterless Snow Globes. That project remains one of my most popular blog posts, especially around this time of year. This season, though, I have a few more waterless snow globe project ideas up my sleeve.
