It's that time of year again....graduations, weddings, reunions. Mine is coming up. My college reunion, that is. It means that I get to see my dearest friends for one short weekend that will last us all a lifetime of memories.
It also means that I get to see family. And one particular niece that I'm going to see just celebrated a birthday. She's in her twenties and married now. Yes, I feel ancient. Regardless, I had given her a bracelet on her wedding day that has since seen better days. So I offered to spruce it up a bit. And here it is.
I named this bracelet Bauble Jar a long time ago. Have you ever had a Bauble Jar? All of my kids do. I made sure of it. A bauble jar is any old jar that you fill with the little things that matter to you. A special rock, a marble, a piece of sea glass. Bauble jars are special. I was hoping that this bracelet would be special, too.
I replaced the actual bracelet itself as well as some worn out pearls and beads. Then I replaced the original clasp with a silver toggle.
My love of pearls is pretty obvious here. And my love for the girl who will wear them is, I hope, pretty obvious too. Happy Belated Birthday, Sara.
We love you.
xoxo
