My hope is that by sharing my thrifty finds I can motivate and inspire you to explore your own local thrift stores, estate sales, flea markets and barn sales and make your own fabulous finds for yourself. So let's get started.

White Wednesday and Flower Frogs

May 4, 2011

The other day I stumbled upon this fabulous two-piece flower frog at Club G.W.  At least I think that's what it is. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it!)  Not sure what the heck a flower frog is?  Try here.

I'll bare all here and tell you that I used to collect flower frogs ~ weird, I know!  But I discovered them way back when, when Mr. CBD and I would frequent flea markets and antique stores with a mission ~ to find flower frogs, salt cellars  and McCoy pottery.   He probably could have cared less, but he helped me hunt for my collectibles anyway.  These junking adventures took place B.C., or "Before Children."  But I was so pleasantly surprised to find this beauty that I had to stop and take notice.  And for $1.99 (not a typo) I kind of had to say yes!

It's quite  heavy sturdy, and a bit chippy (yay!) so I'm thrilled.  And with a little spring inspiration she's ready to roll.

Since it IS White Wednesday and all I had to add my other white beauty ~ a white, chippy Club G.W. flower urn.  I think it was, like, $2.99.  They go well together, don't you think?  Another heavy sturdy piece that I will enjoy for a long time to come.  (Hydrangeas never go out of style!)

I'm probably pretty late to the party, but that shouldn't stop you from going on over there and saying howdy to some of those fabulous bloggers who've also shared their White Wednesday goodies.

Yup........flower frogs.  Look it up!
