To prune or not to prune? That is the question. My all-time favorite flowering bush is the hydrangea. One might think that by virtue of having 27 hydrangea bushes in my own yard I would be an expert as to the how's and why's of pruning them. But that couldn't be further from the truth.

They're heeeeerrrre! The first beautiful hydrangea blooms of the season have appeared and I could not be happier! I just had to share them with you, both indoors and out.

Affordable olive buckets? If you've followed me for any amount of time you already know how much I love olive buckets -- and hydrangeas. My husband brought these gorgeous hydrangea bushes home for me the other day as a surprise. And even more of a surprise -- guess what I got to put them in!

Christmas in July? Not really. But these beautiful white blooms do make me think of snowballs!
This is my favorite time of year when pretty much all of our flora is blooming.
I call this one the Amazing Elephant Ear ~ it's grown to almost gargantuan proportions!
Today was the perfect summer day to spend by the pool with the chickadees. I hope yours was a good one!
