I've always been a fan of the Christmas creche. I even have the vintage creche my parents displayed every year at Christmas, which holds a truly special place in my heart. But this year I felt the need to simplify things and cut right to the chase: my own simple version of a Nativity scene -- Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus in a glass cloche.

Cloches make for a great decorating tool -- you can place them in any room in your home and fill them with just about anything. I've been using them for years, to decorate for all seasons and for all occasions. For my latest spring cloche I've created my all time favorite -- filled with DIY'd aged mini terra cotta pots.

Pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins. It's fall, y'all, so what better time to decorate with pumpkins than right now?

I pride myself on not being TOO trendy, but sometimes the latest trend just gets the best of me.  Like owls.  I mean, who knew that they would become so popular?  They finally got to me, too, and I picked up a few little guys during some of my Goodwill thrifting trips.  And I've been torn over what to do with this one.


He's 3 inches tall and fits perfectly inside another Goodwill find, my tiny cloche.  The cloche had no base to it, so I purchased the little silver tray/stand to go under it at the same time.  I believe all three

Today I thought I'd share with you a peek at my most recent project.  Now for those of you who don't know me, I looooove cloches.  Problem is, whenever I find them in my favorite Club G.W., there's never any bottom part to them, i.e., bowl or platform to place them on.  I finally got fed up with my fate and took matters into my own hands.  Enter the DIY vintage Easter Cloche.
